AURA VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY
" Station 39-1 "
in
Elk Township New Jersey

About the AURA VOL. FIRE & RESCUE #1
AURA VOL. FIRE & RESCUE #1 proudly protects 4,000 people living in an area of 19.6 square miles. We operate out of one station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.
Aura Fire Co. has been serving the community since 1932,and has been providing the rescue services for the Twp. since 1976. Aura is one of three fire companies which protect the Township of Elk, Gloucester County N.J.

What's new with the AURA VOL. FIRE & RESCUE
Aura Vol. Fire Co. has been awarded a Grant from FEMA, for the amount of $20,430.00, plus a 10% match Aura must contribute. The funding will purchase complete sets of Firefighting turn out gear and SCBA masks, in which the Firefighter must wear, to protect themselves from any exposure. The new gear will replace old gear, keeping in compliance with OSHA and NFPA Standards. This a great benefit to the Fire Co. and the community.
Elk Twp. residents can feel at ease that their protectors, are always striding at providing the upmost safety for themselves and anyone in need. The Members of Aura Vol. Fire Co. would like to thank our neighbors for their contributions, support, and always encourage residents to Volunteer their time with us.
We can not do, what we do, without you!!
Thank You.
